Alan Burkitt-Gray became editor of Global Telecoms Business in December 2000, and editor of Capacity magazine in August 2015, as part of a unified editorial team for the industry’s two leading titles. In 2017 he became executive editor of the two publications.

With a degree in physics and electronic engineering from the University of Leeds (UK), Alan has been a business and technology journalist for over 40 years, writing for most of that time for publications covering telecommunications, broadcasting, IT and electronics, as well as working with radio and TV programmes and writing and contributing to a number of books. He lives with his family in London.

In 1992 he set up a monthly magazine, Cable & Satellite Communications International, which he edited for three years. He then spent five years as editor of Government Computing magazine, an independent publication, before being recruited by the Euromoney group to edit Global Telecoms Business.
